Beatrice is the Art History Student Association President for the 2016-2017 year. She is in her final year of her BA Honours Major in History and Theory of Art and Major in Communications. This year, she is working with Professor Celina Jeffery on the Ephemeral Coast project, which seeks to explore the coastline as the site and indicator of environmental degradation through the contemporary arts, and this year specifically exploring the term oceanicide. Last year, Beatrice interned with SAW Video as a programming intern assisting with programs such as Black Radical Imagination, which seeks to tell stories of the African diaspora through new media, video art, and experimental narratives, and the exhibition Memories of the Future, which explored Indigenous futurisms. Beatrice has also interned with a curator in Paris for an exhibition at Le Grand Palais. Beatrice’s interests include the intersections between the environment and the visual arts.
